What Forest View Manor offers

In our Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF), our caregivers can provide as little or as much assistance with daily activities and living as our residents require, along with many programs and services to help residents enjoy life and stay safe and comfortable.  And, because we have the highest level of CBRF licensing, we can also support individuals requiring full assistance, including hospice care.

Our one-level facility has access to everything—without the need to climb stairs or use an elevator.  With a square design and wide walkways, residents can move freely throughout the residence to access common areas or to stay active.  Our outdoor walkway extends around the perimeter of the building for outdoor walks on our private, wooded lot.

Care and Support Services

Each resident will receive a Level of Care (LOC) assessment prior to admission, and periodically during their stay, in order to promote the highest level of independence and to calculate a pricing structure based on the individual’s specific needs.  Our basic pricing structure includes services and amenities for daily living, including:

  • Private room with a private bath and private climate control, cable TV, phone and refrigerator (in certain rooms only)

  • Housekeeping

  • Maintenance

  • Laundry services

  • Medication management

  • Full-service breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with snacks

  • Health monitoring

  • Daily life enrichment activities and events

  • Cable TV in common areas

  • Local phone calls

  • Utilities

We also provide (or can arrange for) specialty services that cover almost anything a resident may need or want now or in the future.  These services and the costs associated with them, are provided up-front to prospective residents and their families so that you can choose what works best for your individual or loved one’s needs.

I had my mom there and felt they did a good job with her care. She was there for two years after a stroke and before she passed. They also work closely with outside agencies to coordinate and provide care.

Enrichment

According to a study by the MacArthur Foundation, about 70% of physical aging and about 50% of mental aging is determined by lifestyle—including the choices we make every day.  Rather than being a process of steady decline, aging can be a time of growth if we maintain our physical and mental skills, reduce our risk for disease and injury, and stay productive and engaged with life.

Forest View Manor can help with everyday life enrichment by offering residents the opportunity to grow and expand their social ties, cultivate hobbies and interests, stay active, and stimulate the mind through purposeful activities and community pursuits.

We keep our activities calendar posted so that residents stay apprised of the events and activities we offer, including:

  • Cards

  • Baking

  • Kids’ talent shows

  • Musical performances

  • Monthly birthday parties

  • Holiday parties

  • Era-themed parties (50s, etc.)

  • Exercises every morning

  • Walk-a-mile program (with assistance from staff)

  • Bingo

Residents can use our community amenities to live life to the fullest:

  • Help maintain our garden

  • Relax on our outdoor patio

  • Take a walk around our private, wooded grounds or walk indoors in our safe, one-level building layout

  • Grab a book from the library and soak in the natural light in our sunroom, equipped with a cozy fireplace for the cold months

  • Meet other residents in our back living room to participate in our larger group events

  • Join us in the activity room for cards or bingo

  • Retreat to the dining room with family members for a private family event

I am very comfortable here. Everyone is very nice and caring. I’ve made friends with the residents and the staff—it feels like family.
